In the realm of learning, we are Ansley and Gabrielle Chimene-Moore, your Nomadic Teachers. With the power of virtual instruction at our fingertips, we traverse the horizons of knowledge by day and chart the unknown by night. Yet, if the fates allow and our minds are not too drained from the week's grind, we venture forth into that thrilling unknown. For teaching, as defined by the sages of the dictionary, encompasses leading a menagerie of 126 cats, 9 dogs, 8 snakes, 12 wildcats, and 36 donkeys, all while weaving a tapestry of personalized education.
About Us
Once upon a time, when one still had youth, the stars whispered of fated encounters with soulmates. Little did I know that mine awaited me at the workplace, amidst witty banter and savory aromas. Gabrielle, or G, as she is fondly known, would conjure up feasts that baited my senses and beckoned me to the teacher's lounge. One fateful day, I dared to ask what dinner entailed, and G's reply of "leftovers" sparked a flame that would soon ignite into something magical.
As time flowed, we shared our dreams and eagerness for adventure, weaving a tapestry of shared aspirations. And in the summer of 2017, our friendship blossomed into a union of hearts.
Come 2020, we resolved to seize life by the reins and create our own destiny. We embarked on a quest to turn our passion for travel into a full-time endeavor, and by the grace of the divine, landed virtual teaching jobs. With our RV and an F-350 as our trusty steed, we set out to make our travel dreams a reality, come what may.

Purchasing an RV: The Search for the Perfect Fit
Despite our meticulous research, we still ended up with a lemon. When it comes to buying an RV, even the most thorough research and considerations cannot guarantee a good purchase.
Our research process was extensive. We examined the brand, trailer length, trailer type (travel or fifth wheel), toy hauler options, front or rear living layouts, step size, material, down-payment amount, and new versus used options. However, the task was daunting, and the stress levels continued to rise as we navigated through each consideration. To complicate matters, COVID-19 had caused RV prices to skyrocket.
After months of research, we ultimately decided on a 2022 Heartland Torque 350. We opted for a new RV as the price was comparable to a used one, and we wanted the peace of mind of manufacturer and extended warranties. However, dealerships in the Houston area were marking up prices by thousands of dollars, so we began looking out of state.
After extensive searching, we found our dream RV at an affordable price in Florida. We placed a deposit and completed all of the paperwork online. We then planned to pick up the RV ourselves. However, we still needed a truck to haul it. Knowing our trucks, we opted for a Ford F-350. Unfortunately, prices were steep due to the pandemic. After months of searching, we finally found a used 2018 Ford F-350 Platinum, completing our purchase.
In the end, our extensive research was helpful, but it didn't guarantee a perfect purchase. Nonetheless, we managed to find the perfect fit for our needs.
